 First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in uae (Director- Fund Admin & Middle Office Services) according to the following:

  • Perform a diverse range of Middle Office responsibilities with primary focus on portfolio performance analysis, valuation of investments, Fund NAV oversight, Reporting, Fund factsheets, risk reporting & analytics
  • Production of attribution analysis, contribution exposures, positioning, P&L and peer group ranking analysis.
  • Run Book analytics and related characteristics for held to maturity fixed income bond portfolios.
  • Perform best/worst scenario analysis and liquidity analysis for the Fund Managers to assist in investment decisions and regulatory/board reporting
  • Run various risk analytics for fund managers, client and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitoring and reporting of hedging of currency exposure for fund share classes and portfolios
  • Production of performance, investment and trade reports for Investment Review Committee, Fund Advisory Body, UCITS Board, broker allocation review committee and for management information.
  • Manage UCITS regulatory requirements, KIIDs, EMIR, Central Bank of Ireland/UAE and SCA regulatory requirements. Analyse new regulatory requirements and produce the relevant reports.
  • Analyse and investigate root causes of performance/analytics variances. Key contact to address performance reporting related queries from internal and external customers.
  • Maintain valuation policy and run pricing models for illiquid securities and portfolios.
  • Responsible for designing and production of fund factsheets with best industry standards applied.
  • Responsible for design and production of Client factsheets, managing client audits, new and bespoke client reporting requirements.
  • Oversight of fund administrators, Fund NAVs, manage any position, valuation, corporate actions queries.
  • Manage fund audit process and finalise fund financial statements.
  • Responsible for running Fund Dividend calculation and distribution process
  • Generate performance fee calculations and reporting.
  • Assist in managing investment guidelines in the system and assist in investigating investment guideline breaches and its impact.
  • Maintain leveraged portfolios and manage LTV limits to comply with credit covenants.
  • Assist in managing daily trade life cycle and reconciliation process
  • Work closely with fund managers and sales team in client specific requirements in terms of reporting, valuations and investment guidelines.
  • Formulate, recommend, and test process and system enhancements and calculation methodologies in line with best industry standards.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure changes, risk assessments and control, internal audit, ensuring regulatory compliance and changing business requirements are met.
  • Lead and implement process efficiencies and system enhancements projects independently as required by the VP, Middle Office Services.
  • 8+ years’ work experience within investment management, banking or other financial institution.
  • Minimum of 5+ years working within a performance measurement and risk analytics team of asset management, mutual fund, hedge fund or fund administration business
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio Valuation and Fund Net Asset Value Calculations
  • Knowledge of IFRS/investment accounting for securities portfolio and funds.
  • Knowledge of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) would be added advantage
  • Mathematically sound and strong grip over statistical analysis and models.
  • Sound knowledge of end to end workflow and life cycle of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, Repos, FX, Exchange traded and OTC derivatives.
  • Hands on experience in administering and managing Portfolio & order management systems like Bloomberg AIM, Advent or equivalent and data providers like Bloomberg, Reuters etc
  • Experience in running projects and implementation of system enhancements independently.
  • Advanced MS Excel and Experience with VBA and Macros.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Eye for detail, number crunching and strong analytical abilities are must.
  • A post graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or related field Or a CFA or pursuing CFA.
