United Arab Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Assistant Manager, Fraud Monitoring & Investigations - Risk) according to the following:
- Responsible for analyzing moderate to complex account activity utilizing various fraud tools to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
- Identifies and escalates to the Fraud Manager, any suspected, alleged or known internal and external fraud investigations against the UAB and its customers.
- Reports directly to the Fraud Manager and will be a member of the Fraud Risk Management Team.
- In addition to investigations, will be responsible to research and identify all possible avenues to the recovery of funds and/or property obtained by such fraud, and coordinate with appropriate law enforcement agencies to help identify and facilitate the prosecution of the person(s) perpetrating such fraud.
- Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, supporting the Fraud Risk- Management Framework.
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, all CBUAE regulations in this regards and federal laws and regulations, wherein the banks operate.
- Proactively assists in the oversight of a Fraud Risk Management Program using data extraction, data analytics and management reporting.
- Solid understanding of fraud risks, and risk management processes in order to identify and monitor fraud risks within the organization.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of Fraud Risk processes, tools, policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with the Enterprise Risk Framework Program.
- Analyzes activity to detect and prevent fraudulent activity based on reports, alerts, or notifications from third parties requesting assistance.
- Conducting awareness session on fraud risk management, including launch and management of eLearning module.
- Ensure law enforcement officials and Insurance companies are provided with required information from time-to-time to facilitate faster resolution/recovery of the case.
- Review cases to identify segments/process vulnerable to fraud and suggest suitable controls.
- Conduct Thematic Reviews for vulnerability to fraud.
- Developing, implementing and validating fraud risk strategies to reduce losses across all business lines.
- Risk Management obligation is the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of identifying, analyzing, evaluating, treating and monitoring risk.
- This helps to mitigate risks to acceptable levels of management.
- Bachelor degree
- Certified Fraud Examiner from ACFE
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in banking and/or financial services.
- Experience in implementation of Application Fraud and Transaction Fraud detection systems.
- Experience in Fraud Risk investigations and reports.
- Effective communication skills to assist in supporting the business
- Detailed understanding of Anti-Fraud practices within the Financial services industry
- Strong Financial Analysis/analytical skills and ability to review and configure anti-fraud scenarios/ rules.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of Senior Management and Bank employees, Internal and External Auditors, Regulators, Law enforcement agencies and Government representatives.
