Standard Chartered announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Director, Market Product Specialist) according to the following:
- Take charge and grow the volume of CMPS product solutions within the assigned asset classes covering Structured Notes, FX, Derivatives, Fixed Income and Equities across assigned markets in CMPS Group.
- Manage the end-to-end process around approvals, obtaining competing market prices, order execution.
- Analyse macroeconomic/geopolitical landscape and devise timely tactical ideas and drive sales.
- Support RMs/IAs and key client with ongoing market commentary as well as education on more complex structures.
- Continuously identify the impact of global, political and financial issues that may adversely affect the financial position of the client and/or create opportunities for the present and future.
- Establish and maintain market contacts to be up to date on all happenings and have the ability to use this knowledge to the benefit of the customer as well as the Bank.
- Drive ideas to the front line, ensuring new products are rolled out effectively and professionally, adhering to appropriate product governance standards.
- Support innovation and new system roll-outs, as appropriate.
- Actively participate in Sales meetings, Product Forums, Investment Advisory Team sessions and Client meetings (where permissible) providing ideas and comprehensive market interpretation.
- Segments Covered: Retail and Private Banking.
- Region Covered: Across Markets.
- Provide IA/RM support through technical and fundamental analysis.
- Revenue: Manage and drive the sales efforts of designated products within the CMPS team. Achieve individual and team sales budget.
- Backup and support other Product Specialists in the team with products and services across all asset classes and markets as becomes required.
- Deliver best in-class service to customers and RMs by providing quick responses, idea generation, and appropriate follow-up.
- Complete the sales process while maintaining best in class standards in service.
- 5 to 10 years’ relevant working and sales experience in Treasury Product Sales covering Retail/Priority/Private Banking segment.
- ACI or CISI certification.
- Strong aptitude for sales, leads management and deal closure.
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets products such as but not limited to Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Equities, Structured Notes and Derivatives.
- Knowledge of operational, tax, regulatory issues.
- Excellent communication, sales and presentation skills.
- Self-motivator who is keen to upgrade, improve personal knowledge and skills to meet job requirements.
- Ability to work independently.
