Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Specialist – Model Validation and Governance) according to the following:

  • Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance.
  • Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.
  • Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
  • Model Validation: Assess the appropriateness and construction of models with respect to their current or planned use in order to determine and report on the level of risk associated with the model, its assumptions, mathematical implementation and the underlying data and its system implementation.
  • Provide appropriate model risk assessments consistent with the model’s risk content and intended usage in order to produce a validation report according to the policy and format including identification of model limitations, assumptions, conditions for model use and level of model risk.
  • Communicate with the Model Owners, Developers and Users to understand and set their expectations in order to obtain and provide information on models, and communicate model risk issues and suggestions during the validation process.
  • Maintain the tracking and monitoring or validation projects in order to provide regular project status updates.
  • Assist in maintaining the Model Risk Management Policy, Model Validation Guidelines and associated standard operating procedures, recommending updates or enhancements where appropriate in order to meet regulatory guidelines and expectations.
  • At least 4 years of experience in quantitative risk management with a good knowledge of Basel II/III standards.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative Science (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering or similar).
  • Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or equivalent Professional Risk Management qualification.
