Emirates Development Bank (EDB) announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in uae (Assistant Vice President – MBRIF Guarantee Scheme) according to the following:

  • To initiate, prepare, process and execute MBR Innovation Fund (MBRIF) Guarantee Scheme applications for innovative startups and SMEs that fit the eligibility criteria of the MBRIF.
  • Handling the relationship with existing and potential target startups and SME customers and coordinate with the respective departments/units within the Bank and the Ministry of Finance to ensure processing of customers’ needs on priority basis.
  • Source applicants under the MBRIF Guarantee Scheme program and ensure timely processing of applications for decisions as per the Delegation of Authority.
  • Assist in providing solutions to customers’ needs with respect to MBRIF products.
  • Assist the Senior Relationship Manager in developing target penetration plans and negotiating the terms with partner banks and enter in to MoUs with respective entities.
  • Examine the MBRIF Guarantee Scheme application submitted by the applicant and determine clients eligibility for type and the amount of guarantee to be processed according to the financing guidelines set by the MBRIF Operating Manual. 
  • Discuss with applicants concerns, negotiate guarantees, collaterals and conduct site tours (if present in UAE) to establish understanding. 
  • Assist prospective and existing clients by receiving all customer applications and effectively addressing client concerns and queries on financing requests.
  • Review and execute complete and appropriate legal and security documents required for respective transactions assigned and ensure that such documents comply with the requirements of the Bank’s legal and compliance department, formats and requirements and to protect the interests of the Bank.
  • Implement the ‘one-point of contact’ approach to respond to and resolve all customer needs and queries pertaining to MBRIF Guarantee Scheme applications.
  • Contribute to the provision of a high level of customer service by ensuring that all requirements for facilities are handled promptly and efficiency.
  • Closely monitor the portfolio in collaboration with the Lender/Partner Banks and identify and report on all negative events and early signals on potential problematic transactions, accounts and/or relationships
  • Represent the MBRIF at professional and industry organizations/ venues to ensure the dissemination of knowledge of MBRIF's offerings relating to project finance.
