Mashreq bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in uae (Assistant Manager Investment Advisory Governance (Emiratisation)) according to the following:

  • Support implementation of internal control and governance standards for Investment sales as per SCA’s rules and requirements.
  • Ensure all staffs (Investments) are Accrediated as per SCA requirements.
  • Ensure all accredited staffs have completed their mandatory CPD trainings to adhere to the regulatory requirement.
  • Be aware of requirements laid down by Central Bank, SCA (Securities and Commodities Authority) and Compliance and provide guidance to front end staff to implement the same.
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting are done on time and keep a track of the same
  • Ensure unit is adhering to efficiency, best practice, and control through benchmarked services delivery & operational standards within the framework of SOPs, policies & CB regulations.
  • Monthly review of all governance practices within the unit to reduce business risk.
  • Provide qualitative & tangible inputs thru identification of any Process gaps, Control breakdowns by way of adhoc reviews.
  • To manage Internal Control and Governance Standards for customer onboarding for both digital and sales assisted journeys.
  • Create System Operating Procedures, monitoring of Key Risk Indicators in line with Operational Risk framework, Business Risk policies and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
  • Ensure all applicable risks are identified and RCSA Risk register is updated accordingly.
  • To escalate any failures during RCSA testing & ensure controls are reviewed and remediated to mitigate any further risks.
  • Analyze, review and identify any risk triggers from the MIS and highlight the same for any process improvement.
  • Actively participate in team engagement meetings / events.
  • Ensure completion of training modules including Islamic trainings & awareness of risk for all staff.
  • Develop self-governing practices that help detect fraudulent applications or any process breach.
  • Ensure audit recommendations are embedded into business-as-usual mode & satisfactory closure of all open items.
  • 3 to 5 years of solid banking experience in operations environment with a thorough understanding of banking product and implication of operational risks with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent working knowledge of process design & banking systems.
  • Knowledge of banks SOP, Operation Procedure Manual (OPM), Procedures Manual (APPM) , AML & KYC Policy, and Compliance.
