Define the products and digital strategy for Business Banking with the aim of establishing Mashreq as the best and most digital bank for SMEs in the Region
Manage the product P&L and Balance Sheet to meet the financial objectives, maximise market share, while optimizing risks.
Constantly scan our client base, the market, and the Competition, for new product development ideas and lead their commercialization. Equal focus required across transaction services, deposit products, and lending products. Focus on digitizing associated processes for all products.
Develop lending propositions based on alternative data and collaboration with large external platforms.
Help launch Business Banking in new markets, focusing on product launches and digital initiatives
Directly manage the digital squads responsible for developing Client Onboarding journeys, and digital lending solutions. Collaborate with external and internal tech partners to digitize processes for efficient client experience, especially the Online/Mobile Banking channel. Full responsibility for the squads.
Process & Operational Control - Ensure that all processes for Business Banking products are streamlined and adequate controls are in place at all times.
Design and execute client campaigns to improve sales performance. Build portfolio management tools in collaboration with the Analytics team, and design cross-selling and other campaigns based on these tools.
Lead a team of Forex sales specialists
Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet targets for key products.
Develop and maintain an attractive, compliant value proposition and excellence in customer service, as evidenced by Mashreq’s market share and Net Promoter Scores.
Stay abreast of the evolving needs of clients and associated market developments, through structured market research as well as informal means
Identify and assess new product development opportunities. Lead the development of new products, ensuring that necessary governance controls are in place throughout the development process.
Ensure profitable growth for the Business Banking portfolio through market-leading onboarding experience, portfolio management and pricing control.
Ongoing management of all Business Banking products, in keeping with the Bank’s policy, IT architecture, and external
Launch new digital initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of the same. Ensure that the Product and Digital teams are staffed with the best quality talent, and focus on creating an enabling environment for them. Uses their technical expertise and experienceto contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos)
Provide product information to internal andexternal parties (such as the press and PR, interbank consultations, internal and external suppliers, consumer and interest groups, industry regulators and the government).
Define and execute marketing campaigns to drive incremental business volume growth.
Define & identify cross-sell opportunities within the customer base by developing propensity models with help from the Analytics team to increase product penetration index and revenue per customer.
Ensure Audit readiness for the Unit
Manage, coach, inspire, develop, evaluate and assess employees.
Create the required environment and enables employees to do their jobs well, both now and in the future.
